Mechanical Engineer and MBA by IE. Before founding FF Ventures, he held different roles in FRV, one of the world’s largest solar developers. He was responsible for project development and tender participation in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, India, México, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panamá, Chile and Peru, achieving the ready to build phase for more than 400MW. Also helped create the Photovoltaic Generators Association in Mexico (ASOLMEX).

Eneko Álvarez

Business Administration degree by Deusto and Masters in Finance by Deusto Business Shcool. Before founding FF Ventures, he had a career in Group Isolux Corsán, being responsible for the international development of the Group in Africa and the Middle East. He also was responsible for the development of renewable energies of the Group, focused on solar PV and wind projects, in countries such as the United States, Mexico, Honduras, Peru, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Kenya, the United Kingdom and Japan, with EPC projects adding up to over 800MW.

Graduated in Law with a Masters in Banking and Financial Market law. Alumni of Harvard Business School (OPM49), Co-Founder and Director of Lightsource Renewable Energy, Co-Founder and Director of Ampere Energy, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Energy Global Partners and Partner of the law firm Estudio Juridico Internacional López-Ibor Mayor. Alexandre has over 20 years of experience in the structuring of energy projects and in the development of energy companies.

Chris joined Octopus Energy Generation as an Investment Director in 2015 and is a long-standing member of the Investment Committee. Chris raised and manages Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT) and Octopus Energy Development Partnership (OEDP) with more than £1bn combined assets under management. Chris originated and led one of the largest wind farm portfolio acquisitions in the UK valued at c.£320m and led the Transactions Team that delivered over £1bn of debt and equity transactions.

Barney Rhys Jones

Barney joined Octopus Energy Generation as Technical Programme Director in 2019, he subsequently managed the 1.2GW European Solar Portfolio as Asset Management Director before taking on the role of Portfolio Director for OEGEN’s development interests. Prior to joining Octopus, Barney was Portfolio Director for Oxford Capital’s £400M renewables portfolio, and the Chief Operating Officer at Good Energy Group. Barney spent 7 years consulting with Bain & Company and holds a 1st class degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London and ENPC, Paris.

Damien Ricordeau

He is the Founder and Chairman of Finergreen, a leading financial advisory firm specializing in the renewable energy sector, particularly in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and project finance. With more than fifteen years of experience in finance and energy transition, he previously worked at Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners before founding Finergreen. Under his leadership, the company has expanded internationally, establishing 12 offices and gaining a reputation as a key player in the industry. Damien has built a strong and diversified network that includes developers, institutional partners, public and financial institutions, investors, and legal experts worldwide.

Julia Gubar

Julia joined Octopus Energy Generation in 2019. She is an Investment Director, leads origination and execution of development partnerships and co-manages Octopus Energy Development Partnership (OEDP), a €226m fund focused on investing into the development stage of renewables. Prior to Octopus, Julia worked at Platina Partners, a private equity firm, where she invested in renewables assets across Europe and first-hand developed greenfield solar projects in Cyprus. Julia holds a degree in Finance from London Business School.

Pablo Arbona

Industrial Engineer (Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Sevilla) with a postgraduate degree from UNED (Financial Markets). Pablo Arbona is Managing Partner at Finergreen and covers the Southern European market, a position he has held since establishing the Madrid office in 2020. With over 17 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), project finance, and business development within the renewable energy and core infrastructure sectors. Prior to his role at Finergreen, Pablo held various executive positions at Rubicon Capital Advisors (Director) and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (Global Director of M&A, Head of M&A and Project Finance for France, Italy, Australia, and Latin America). His extensive professional career has provided him with deep knowledge of debt and capital markets across various geographies, including Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, and Chile.

Degree in Law by the Universidad San Pablo-CEU. Masters in Energy Law from the Spanish Energy Club. Before joining FF Ventures, he worked as in-house lawyer for two years at Lightsource Renewable Energy, contributing to the development of 1GW in the UK, and before that in Gómez-Acebo & Pombo for four years, involved in many transactions for the acquisition and refinancing of renewable energy projects.

Renato Madureira

Renato Madureira

BD Director for Portugal

Electrotechnical engineer with a postgraduate degree in engineering technologies, senior member of the Order of Engineers, with extensive experience in the development, engineering, and construction of PV and wind projects in Portugal. For 14 years, he led the development of PV projects for Tecneira in Portugal. He has participated in more than 20 energy projects across Portugal, Mozambique, and Spain in recent years, contributing to over 250 MW of successful projects in the sector. Recently, he was responsible for developing a pipeline of over 500 MW of PV and wind projects, which has provided him with extensive experience in the commercial development of large utility-scale projects.

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration by the University of Leeds, with experience in Renewable Energy and International Business Development. Before becoming part of FF Ventures’ team, he developed both wind and photovoltaic projects as Andalucia’s Manager in Spain and in Mexico for Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV). With experience also in Infrastructure consultancy business development in other countries such as México, Brazil, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Oman.

Mario Rodríguez

Degree in Law by the UAM (Autonomous University of Madrid), Masters in Private Law from the Bar Association of Madrid and MBA in International Business Management from the International University of Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP). Before joining FF Ventures, he has worked in project and business development roles within the renewable energy sector, specialized in photovoltaic plants, in companies such as Sterling & Wilson, Alten Renewable Energies and Grupo Cobra (ACS). He has international experience in Europe and in Sub-Saharan African countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola and Botswana.

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Industrial Engineering and Industrial Engineer, has a wide and international experience in renewable energy (PV, CSP and wind). Has previously worked for EPC/O&M contractors, engineering/consultancy firms, M&A and AM firms, with experience in Europe, LATAM, North America, Africa, Middle East and Japan. Prior to FF Ventures he developed his career at Iberdrola, Isolux, Vector Cuatro and Grant Thornton.

Carmen Navarro

Carmen Navarro

CFO

Holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from CUNEF (major in finance), and has a Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy at the Instituto de Estudios Cajasol. With more than 10 years of experience working for companies in the renewable energy sector, participating in national and international projects in Asia, Europe and LATAM.

Andrei Pecingine

BD Director for Romania

Holds a Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with a Master’s degree in Energy Efficiency from the Construction University of Bucharest. With a strong background in engineering, he focused on the management and development of large-scale investment projects. Prior to joining FF Ventures, he worked for six years at the leading industrial developer in the Romanian market, CTP, being responsible for coordinating the development of multiple projects from start to finish, totaling over 300,000 m2 of built area.
